Facelift
Dr. Raskin can reverse loss of skin elasticity by gently smoothing and tightening lax facial skin through facelift surgery. During the procedure, Dr. Raskin carefully tightens and secures drooping facial muscles, redrapes the facial skin, and removes excess, diminishing visible signs of aging. After facelift and a period of healing, the face displays a dramatic reduction in wrinkles and facial drooping, creating a more youthful, vibrant appearance. Incisions are hidden within the hairline, so there is little or no visible scarring after surgery. Facelift patients often decide to undergo additional procedures for further facial rejuvenation, such as eyelid lift, brow lift and neck lift.
Mini-facelift
Mini-facelift is ideal for those patients with moderate drooping in the cheeks or "mid-face" who do net yet require a full facelift. This minimally invasive technique requires less surgery and recovery time than a full facelift, yet it still results in impressive facial rejuvenation. When the mid-face is lifted to its youthful position, creases and wrinkles around the nose, mouth, and eyes are diminished. Additionally, volume is restored along the cheekbone and beneath the eyes, which softens facial contours and eliminates hollowness beneath the eyes.
Brow Lift
A drooping brow can enhance the intensity of many visible signs of aging. When the brow sags, horizontal forehead wrinkles, furrows between the brows, and heavy upper eyelids may form, and the natural arch of the eyebrow can flatten. Through brow lift surgery, Dr. Raskin can restore a more youthful appearance, by smoothing and lifting the forehead skin, easing muscle tension between the brows, and elevating the eyebrows. After surgery and healing, patients emerge looking refreshed and years younger.
Neck Lift
Loose skin beneath the chin and along the neck can cause the formation of jowls, deep wrinkling along the neck, and the appearance of a "double chin." Through neck lift surgery, Dr. Raskin can effectively reduce sagging skin and restore the smooth slender contours of a youthful neck. During neck lift, Dr. Raskin removes stubborn fat deposits, smoothes and tightens the sheet of muscle that surrounds the structures of the neck, and snips away excess skin. Neck lift beautifully compliments the results achieved with facelift and the procedures are often performed together to achieve comprehensive facial rejuvenation.
Eye Lift - Blepharoplasty
Dr. Raskin has received specialized training in oculoplastics and performs two types of cosmetic eyelid surgery. The first type eliminates bags and puffiness of the upper and lower lids, and the second type corrects ptosis, or drooping of the upper eyelid. Bags and puffiness can be reduced through the careful removal of excess skin and fatty deposits that form around the lids as we age. For ptosis repair, Dr. Raskin must tighten the structures that control movement of the upper lid to elevate the relaxed position of the upper lid. In both surgeries, Dr. Raskin places the incisions within the natural crease of the eye or along the lash line where they are nearly invisible after healing. If ptosis is obstructing the patients vision, insurance may provide coverage for surgical costs.
BOTOX® Cosmetic Application
By carefully applying BOTOX® Cosmetic to targeted muscle groups around the eyes, between the brows, and along the forehead, Dr. Raskin can dramatically diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The micro-injections of BOTOX® Cosmetic force the overactive muscles that form wrinkles to relax, which causes softening and fading of fine lines and creases within a few days. Treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic must be repeated every four to six months in order to maintain its effects.
Hylaform® and RESTYLANE® Application
Hylaform® and RESTYLANE® are both injectable dermal fillers composed of hyaluronic acid, a volume enhancing substance found naturally in the skin. Ideal for filling facial wrinkles and adding volume to the lips, hyaluronic acid bonds with water molecules beneath the skin to gently plump the lips and soften the appearance of deep creases and wrinkles. Results achieved with the application of Hylaform® and RESTYLANE® can last up to six months before a repeat treatment is necessary.
